WILLIAM T. KEMPER PRESENTATION THEATER IN EXPLORATION PLACE
(WICHITA, KS)
Tucked under Moshe Safdie's curving roof is this 150-seat multi-purpose theater for demonstrations, public presentations, screenings, panel discussions and simple theater productions. The Presentation Station in the foreground is full of demonstration equipment such as electronic controls for AV systems, plumbing and electricity hook-ups and other support services. Victor Becker of Talking Spaces (Rochester, NH) designed the theater in collaboration with Moshe Safdie Associates (Boston, MA). Boston Productions (Boston, MA) outfitted the media equipment with the support of Minnesota Western (Wichita, KS). White Oak Associates, museum planners and producers, were the executive producers of the Kemper Presentation Theater and twelve other exhibit and theater areas in Exploration Place.
