KANSAS EXPLORER AT EXPLORATION PLACE (WICHITA, KS)
In this recently opened gallery dedicated to developing environmental exploration skills, you can excavate real fossils alive millions of years ago as well as inspect live, wiggly earth worms and bugs. White Oak Associates, Inc. was the executive producer of the exhibits and theaters and the museum planner for Exploration Place. Maeryta Medrano of Gyroscope, Inc. (Oakland, CA) designed the exhibits to complement Moshe Safdie Associates' (Boston, MA) architecture. Warfel Schrager Architectural Lighting, LLC (Trumbull, CT) designed the illumination for both the building and the exhibits. Taylor Studios, Inc. (Rantoul, IL) fabricated the cave, the wheat and other natural elements of the Kansas landscape. Clotia Wood & Metal Works, Inc. (Wichita, KS) fabricated the exhibit armatures and furnishings.
